To experience the best Madapow snow, head on over to the Madarao MOUNTAIN RESORT to launch into one of its 51 available courses during its peak season from January to the middle of March.
The Mountain Pass gives visitors a day’s entrance to all slopes at the Madarao MOUNTAIN RESORT and the directly adjacent Tangram Ski Circus for the affordable price. These 51 courses include 14 tree-runs, a well-known natural powder half-pipe, an exciting snow park and a variety of other beginner, intermediate and advanced courses.

Alongside English-speaking staff, Madarao also offers a wide-range of ski schools, guided backcountry ski tours and other outings with English-speaking guides.
As opposed to Hokkaido which often suffers from freezing slopes, Nagano maintains the perfect temperature to support the best powder snow. The ski-in, ski-out style of Madarao and Tangram Resorts allow visitors to be at the slopes in under a minute for easy access to all the fun.

This ski-in/ski-out hotel, ”MADARAO KOGEN HOTEL” , a landmark of the Madarao Kogen, offers a choice between Western-style rooms and Japanese-Western style rooms, and the natural hot springs are open to non-guests as well.

Meals are served buffet-style, featuring local brand beef and pork, seafood, fresh vegetables, fruits and so on. Local sake and wine are also available.

Hotel facilities include a karaoke room, a table tennis room and a kids' room. Also there is a shooting gallery space that you may experience an atmosphere of Japanese festival, very popular with overseas tourists.

At the hotel shop you can purchase souvenirs, as well as local sake, local wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks. They also sell daily necessities, so you can have a comfortable stay.
